How can losses be processed?
About the Method:
It is not therapy or counseling, but a structured self-help program for improving mental health, in which we work with our hearts through a series of interrelated exercises.
„"After all, grief breaks hearts, not minds. All our attempts to heal our hearts with our minds are doomed to failure, because our intellect is not the right tool for this. (John W. James, Russel Friedman)
A journey of self-discovery, a lifelong investment that will help you cope with losses and changes.
The effectiveness of the Grief Processing Method® was scientifically tested by Dr. Rachael D. Nolan and Dr. Jeffery S. Hallam, researchers at Kent State University (Ohio, USA), and the results were published in February 2019 in the American Journal of Health Education. The study found that the Thanks to the Grief Processing Method® action program, the emotional well-being of participants improved to a statistically significant degree. "The Grief Processing Method is an evidence-informed, practice-oriented program that effectively reduces the symptoms of grief and helps people process their grief."
Online or in person
First, we will discuss your situation over the phone and you will tell me what kind of loss you have suffered. I will provide you with some practical information about the program. We will arrange a date and meet at least eight times via the Signal app, or eight times in person for an individual program, or 8-10 times in a group. I will accompany and support you in your grief. I will share my own experiences and what I know about grief with you. In addition to participating, your part is to do the heart work at home.
The creators of the method
"Any change in our relationships with people, places, or events can cause a feeling called grief."
"Grieving means finding meaning in our lives again without fearing that we will be disappointed again."
